Mariam Sheikh — Founder

Mariam founded Career Geek after working across employability, careers, education and technology, including roles as a Jobcentre Manager and Careers Manager within an education technology company.

Through her work with learners, she saw two very different responses to AI: some were beginning to rely on it to do too much of the thinking for them, while others were avoiding it altogether.

Career Geek was created to bridge that gap — putting human skills first while helping young people understand where technology can add value, where its limitations lie, and how to use it with greater judgement and confidence.
